I have been asked many times (and again today which prompted this www) what I think of the popular “Run / Hide / Fight Training.”
Understand the intended audience for Run / Hide / Fight training. It is for the occupants of a building. The non-security occupants. Wherever I may serve as a security operator, I would love nothing more than to know the people we are protecting are operating in Run / Hide / Fight principles. It is the best training dialogue out there for non-security personnel in any building (whether that organization has a security program or not).
It is not, nor has it ever been, “Security Operators Training.” If you tell me your team has been through Run/Hide/Fight training, I know your security operators are not trained.
