Here are the latest FBSN videos for the past two weeks. We have several important conversations available—including new training, leadership, and information for church security teams.

September 21, 2026: Is Your Church Security Team Really Prepared? Use of Force, Training, & Church Security –  Dan Burch of Hoosier State Training talks about what churches should consider before a security volunteer is faced with a life-or-death decision, including use-of-force law, training, vetting, policies, procedures, and the responsibilities of church security volunteers.

Dan will also be joining FBSN in Goshen, Indiana, on October 17 to teach Indiana Use of Force Law for Security Ministry.

September 24, 2026: “God, Put Me in the Fight” | A Powerful Challenge to Church Protectors with Trent Steele – What happens before an attack—and what can church security teams do to recognize warning signs and potentially intervene before violence reaches the sanctuary?

Former U.S. Secret Service Special Agent Trent Steele shares lessons from more than two decades in the Secret Service and challenges church security leaders to think beyond simply responding to an active threat.

September 28, 2026: Why Does FBSN Exist? Founder Carl Chinn on Vision, Succession & the Future of Church Security– FBSN founder Carl Chinn discusses the vision behind the Faith-Based Security Network, the responsibility of serving others, and the importance of building an organization that can continue making an impact long after its founders step away.

October 2, 2026: Are You Getting the Information You Need? Current Threat Information & Church Security Training – This is an important one for every church security team. What information are you using to prepare your church for the threats you may face? In this video, FBSN discusses why church security teams and volunteers need more than what they can find scrolling through Facebook, YouTube, or other public sources.

FBSN is working to provide vetted members with current threat information and protective intelligence specifically relevant to houses of worship.

Some information may be open source—but that doesn't mean all of it belongs in a public social media post.

WATCH FOR AN IMPORTANT OCTOBER ANNOUNCEMENT

FBSN is working with Patrick Cumba to provide current threat information more directly to vetted members throughout the month of October.

Patrick brings extensive experience involving federal task forces, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, force protection, and protective intelligence related to houses of worship.

Watch for an announcement this week explaining how FBSN members will receive this October threat information through the FBSN Restricted Video Access resources.

Also: An Interview You Should See

An FBSN interview with Sherri Pomeroy, wife of Pastor Frank Pomeroy of First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, was removed from YouTube.

The conversation addressed the long-term impact of a church attack, including trauma, grief, faith, families, mental health, and what church security teams need to understand after the immediate crisis is over.

A duplicate of the interview is still available, and we encourage you to watch it here:

It is a powerful reminder that church security is about more than stopping a threat. It is also about understanding and caring for the people we are entrusted to protect.

FBSN is committed to helping church security teams become READY, WILLING, and ABLE to protect their people.

Thank you for being part of this professional community—and for being willing to learn, share your experience, and help strengthen church security across the country.

Think About it, “Happy Father's Day”
By Shanna Honeycutt, Information Analyst for the FBSN "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13 I have always known I could take chances and do hard things. That confidence didn't come from believing I would never fail. It came from knowing that when I failed—or when I reached the end of my own abilities—I would not be alone. My dad, Carl Chinn, followed God's example as a father. He gave me confidence not through big speeches, intimidating displays of toughness, or attempts to prove his strength. Instead, he demonstrated strength through compassion, unwavering love, reliability, sincerity, and the courage to do the right thing for the right reasons. That same heart led him to begin the Faith Based Security Network. In God's sovereignty, He gave my father a front-row seat to the very real and growing dangers facing churches and ministries across America. Rather than looking away, he faithfully built what needed to be built to help protect houses of worship and the people they serve. What has grown from that effort is remarkable. The FBSN has attracted an incredible group of men and women—people with impressive careers and accomplishments, but whose greatest priorities remain their faith, their families, and their churches. They are people committed to protecting those who cannot protect themselves. As David Dixon, another respected leader in the FBSN and father/grandfather to many, often reminds us, our goal is to ensure that churches remain places of freedom and sanctuaries where the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be proclaimed week after week. Dad, thank you for following God's example and passing on a legacy that I am deeply proud of. Thank you to the leadership of the FBSN who model these same values for your families and communities. And thank you to the members of the FBSN who are cut from the same cloth. I could not be more grateful to be part of this organization. Happy Father's Day.
