On March 27, 2023, a lone gunman entered the Convent School located at 33 Burton Hills Blvd, Nashville, Tennessee, and tragically took the lives of six individuals. Michael Collazo along with four other officers, were among the first responders that day. Michael will present on their teams swift entrance into the school, searching for the gunman. Ultimately encountering the shooter, leading to a confrontation and resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
From his first hand account he will provide valuable insights about the men and women who stepped up before they arrived, lessons learned, and how your team and ministry can be prepared.
First hand overview of everyone involved that day, including teachers, officers, and paramedics. A walk through the timeline from the moment the first call was received until the threat was neutralized and lessons learned from the incident, highlighting both the positives and the areas for improvement.
Detective Collazo will conclude with a memorial video honoring the victims.
